Tony is a chartered accountant with over 40 years experience. He has owned a variety of businesses and from practical experience he can offer clients a sound and common sense solution to their financial needs.

Peter Thomas

General Manager

Peter commenced with Commercial Equity Group in May 2020 after having worked in main stream banking for 34 years, initially with Westpac and then Goulburn Murray Credit Union.

Peter has extensive lending and operational knowledge/experience in the industry and is eager to assist new and existing clients with their business finance needs.

Jason Geale

Business Development Manager

Jason commenced with Commercial Equity Group in 2013, bringing with him 10 years of experience from CBA. Jason is solutions focussed, looking to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and prepared to workshop any scenario.

Stephen Hansen

Credit Analyst

Stephen joined Commercial Equity Group in 2026, bringing over 35 years of experience in banking and finance. His career includes senior roles with Westpac and Bendigo Bank in Commercial and Agricultural Lending, as well as six years in Business Advisory and Financial Counselling with Rural Business Tasmania. Stephen holds formal qualifications in Accounting, Business Management, Financial Counselling, and Mediation. He is dedicated to delivering timely, high-quality finance solutions that help businesses grow and succeed.

Glenn Hartas

Credit Analyst

Glenn started with Commercial Equity Group February 2023. Glenn has worked in the retail banking industry for many years, having worked at St. George Bank initially, Suncorp Bank and Heritage Bank where he was an Area Branch Manager.

Glenn enjoys achieving the best outcomes for our clients.

Simon Burden

Loans Administration

Commencing in May 2022, Simon joined the Commercial Equity Group team after a varied career encompassing high school teaching, aged care management and 20+ years in Hospitality management, working for large multi-national catering companies and in his own business. He has extensive business and compliance management expertise, is client-focussed and ready to assist timely, accurate delivery of our tailored business finance solutions.
